Need your required certification before purchasing a specified semiautomatic firearm? Get your 4-hour SSF Certification Course at Tanner Gun Show in collaboration with Day on the Range Consulting and complete your training right at the show! Once you successfully complete the course, you can head to the show floor and shop the selection from our vendors.
Colorado Springs Event Center: 3960 Palmer Park Blvd
Prerequisite & Registration Workflow: To ensure high-yield instructional time, all participants must complete administrative prerequisites prior to attending the Saturday morning course.
Mandatory Preparation Steps:
- Hunter Education Verification: Applicants must provide proof of a completed Colorado Hunter Education certificate. This proof will be asked for at the start of class.
- State Documentation & Background Screening:
- Applicants must submit their required details through the official state portal at https://cbi.colorado.gov/.
- Applicants must initiate their background check through a recommended background check agency.
- County Sheriff Requirements:
- Applicants must visit their specific county sheriff website to review and satisfy any localized requirements.
- Applicants must obtain written or formal approval from their county sheriff to take the SSF course.
- Obtaining Verified Documents: Please bring all required documents, background clearance, and approvals with you to class. These will be checked at check-in to ensure you have everything required to participate in the course.
Saturday Schedule & Execution Plan:
- 09:15 AM – 09:45 AM: Attendee Check-In, ID Verification, and Roster Finalization.
- 10:00 AM – 02:00 PM: 4-Hour SSF Classroom Instruction.
- 02:00 PM: Course Completion, Certificate Issuance, and Direct Entry to the Tanner Gun Show Floor.
Once the class is over and all requirements are done, you are free to browse the show during the remainder of Saturday.
